ID Requirements

Florida law allows a notary to verify a signer’s identity using one of the following forms of identification, provided the ID is current or issued within the last five years and includes a serial or identifying number:

  • Florida Driver’s License or Florida ID Card

  • U.S. Passport

  • Foreign Passport Stamped by U.S. Citizenship or Immigration Services

  • Out-of-State Driver’s License or ID from any U.S. state

  • U.S. Military ID

  • Veteran Health ID Card

  • Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
